REV23 + CardConnect v18.1 Beta

Over the summer, we announced that EMV (chip card) support was coming to REV23 Desktop in this blog post. Later, we shared more information on this page to answer some questions that were left over from the earlier post. Today, we’d like to share some new information with you.

To summarize, REV23 Desktop v18.1 will include chip card support, but it is not backwards compatible with our existing processing methods using the magnetic stripe swipe reader. Meaning, if you want to keep processing credit cards in REV23, you will need to acquire a new compatible terminal before you upgrade to v18.1.
